Within TNO, you will be working in the very enterprising unit High Tech Industry. Out of various sites throughout the Netherland, the 600 members of the Industry unit work on innovations to stimulate the Dutch industry and ensure it remains leading-edge while at the same time contribute to the wellbeing and welfare in and beyond the Netherlands. You will work predominantly at our Delft site on the field of quantum technology but will also come in contact with other expertise areas and groups. As such, you’ll soon become intimately acquainted with the wide range of characters and areas of expertise featured in our unit at TNO.You will work in the Quantum Technology department at TNO, managing and coordinating activities within the Quantum Sensing program. In this role, you coordinate the various projects in the portfolio and contribute to different phases, including proposal preparation, customer negotiations, team execution, and project delivery.Your responsibilities include overseeing financial stability and forecasting for these projects, actively managing risks, monitoring technical progress, and supporting project teams in meeting planned milestones and deliverables. In collaboration with technical leads, you will translate the high-level needs and objectives of both the program and clients into specific activities and detailed project plans. You are responsible for ensuring that projects are executed within budget, meet quality standards, and are completed on schedule.As Program Manager, you also have a strategic function by contributing to TNO's direction in Quantum Sensing. This includes defining an IP strategy, evaluating technology maturity, supporting technology road mapping and, when relevant engaging with companies interested in further development or startup formation.You will participate in multidisciplinary teams focused on developing advanced hardware and establishing innovative production processes. The position involves contributions to the development of enabling technologies in the quantum ecosystem. Experience as a program manager and knowledge of the quantum sector are required.
